About me

Hi I’m from a small place called Gibraltar. It’s well known for The Rock, monkey’s (which technically are apes) and the ongoing sovereignty issues with Spain and UK (which I would rather not go into). With an estimated population of 30,000 basically we know each other or we know someone who knows of you. It’s a very small community which as a youngster couldn’t wait to leave but now as an adult wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. We speak English and Spanish and have our own derivative language known as llanito where we mix both languages together and even make up some words!

I’m a nearly forty year old school teacher, with three small children – 2 girls; aged 5 and 2 and half, a 3 month old boy and a husband who sometimes behaves as a child! I am currently on my maternity leave and decided to share my joys and frustrations with you all.

Don’t get me wrong I love being a mum but its definitely not picture perfect and I hope sharing my experiences with sincerity, humour and a pinch of sarcasm, so that mothers understand we are not alone!
